Garden City Beach is located south of Surfside Beach, and borders Murrells Inlet to the North. The beach town community of about 10,000 spans approximately 5 1/2 miles of land. In this community you can do so many activities, such as fishing, crabbing, surfing, and other watersports.
Despite its name, Garden City Beach is not an incorporated city. It’s just for those who favor beach houses and condos over resorts or hotels, which lends the area a more private, and less hectic pace than other areas along the Grand Strand. The small resort town has a quiet, family friendly vibe. Many people choose this part for investment property, because it’s close to the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach, without being a direct part of the action.

Brookefield Estates is a brand-new neighborhood with brand-new single-family homes available for purchase. It is conveniently situated next to The International Club golf course, making it an excellent golf enthusiast option. You have the option of building a one-story or two-story home at Brookefield Estates. Homes for sale in this area vary in price from $204,000 to $260,000, with living areas ranging from 1,746 to 2,451 sq ft. Lennar is known for their “All is Included” homes, which provide all appliances and other improvements for a single low price. This location is also convenient to many of the Grand Strand’s attractions and events.
Hamilton Estates is a country community in Murrells Inlet with mainly ranch type homes with 3 bedrooms. It was built about 2005 and features a wide lake that is enjoyed by many residents. N early all homes have two or three bedrooms and an estimated price of $150,000. The HOA payments are almost non-existent since there is no pool or clubhouse – only upkeep for the entrance signs and the pond. Because it is located outside of the city limits, property taxes will be lower. Saint James Elementary, Middle, and High Schools would be attended by the children. The neighborhood is adjacent to the Indigo Creek Golf Course and is situated just off the Highway 17 Bypass at McDowell Shortcut Rd. Garden City Beach and the Marshwalk, as well as several of the Grand Strand’s finest restaurants, are only a quick drive south.
Heron Lake is a new Murrells Inlet subdivision developed around a 25-acre lake near Tournament Drive and the Highway 17 Bypass, just minutes from the inlet and Marshwalk. This community was designed by Mungo Homes and offers seven different floorplans, both single and two-story homes with 2-4 bedrooms, with sizes ranging from 1342 to 1965 square feet and prices starting in the low $200,000s. Water views are among the amenities, which include a community dock for fishing and kayaking. Children will attend St. James elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school. Heron Lake is close to Murrells Inlet, Pawley’s Island, and the beach, which is just about 10 minutes away.
